Why I Never Gave Up on My Dream—and Why You Shouldn’t Either

My dream was always simple: I wanted to be an actor.

That passion led me into acting, modeling, and ultimately shaped who I am today—a confident content creator and outdoor influencer. Every experience, every setback, and every small win helped build the foundation I stand on now. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: don’t get discouraged. Keep fighting for the life you want.

We’re living in a time where the rules have completely changed. Social media has created a new kind of celebrity—one that doesn’t rely on Hollywood gatekeepers. In many cases, influencers have more reach and impact than traditional A-list stars. Just look at MrBeast. His rise on YouTube is nothing short of incredible. He’s built an empire through creativity, consistency, and reinvesting into his content.

Now, I’ll be honest—it can feel intimidating. Competing with creators at that level can make anyone question themselves. But here’s the truth: I’m not here to compete with anyone. I’m here to do my own thing.

And that mindset changed everything.

I continue to act. I continue to create. I continue to show up on my platforms, no matter what. My YouTube channel, Backyard Off-Grid, currently has 2,490 subscribers as of writing this—and every single one of those subscribers matters. Growth may not always be fast, but it’s real.

The biggest mistake people make is thinking they need millions of followers to matter. You don’t.

There is someone out there right now who wants to see your content. Someone who will relate to your story. Someone who will be inspired because you chose not to quit.

Whether you’re posting text updates, photos, or reels on Facebook—or building out a full YouTube channel—it all counts. I personally run a professional account that allows me to earn based on engagement. It’s not life-changing money (yet), but every dollar earned goes right back into improving my content. And honestly? It makes the process even more enjoyable.

We’re already creating content every day—why not get paid for it?

That’s a principle even top creators follow. Reinvest, improve, repeat.

I may not be an A-list actor (yet), but I’m building something real. Something authentic. And in today’s world, that matters more than ever.

So if you’re chasing a dream—whether it’s acting, content creation, or something completely different—don’t stop.

Don’t compare.

Don’t quit.

Because you are enough. And your story is worth telling.

And to Hollywood and New York?

I’m just getting started.
